PHILADELPHIA, PA \ JUNE 16, 2012 \ DIVERSE NEWS — Doesn’t sound right, does it? Mitt Romney the Republican Candidate for President and Former Philadelphia D.A.; Mayor; Pennsylvania Governor and DNC Chairman, Ed Rendell as running-mates?
This would actually be the dream ticket. With all that Rendell has done for Philly and his experience as a two-term governor, along with all of his influence in gathering monies, I’m sure he could persuade Romney to be his running-mate.
Sure, it crosses party lines but this is just what the country needs right now: Solidarity to boost the economy and create jobs with unity from both sides.
Ed Rendell is such a brainstormer particularly with his creativity to produce economically. I remember how dull Philly was before he became mayor. In fact, it was known as ‘Filthadelphia’. Ed cleaned the city-up. His ideas for ‘Wednesday night-out’, was a great idea that did very well. He helped transform Manyunk into a bustling shopping area.
His views on foreign affairs are pretty much the same as Romney’s – and they both are supporters of Israel and for peace in the Middle East.
Anyway, they are both politicking in Quaketown today – at the same place [WaWa].
So, we’ll see how it goes.
Hopefully, there may be a new, different kind of team that can bring us out of this hole we’re in.
