Great Americans

PHILADELPHIA – I visited an American Indian reservation last Friday. It was in or near Niagara, NY. What a nice place to shop-not only was it tax- free but cigarettes were only ~$20 a carton! The name of the place was “Smokin Joes” and of course, it reminded me of the one and only, Philadelphia’s own, our beloved, Joe Frazier. But the cheap prices isn’t what compelled me to do this report. Gotta tell you that initially, I was a wee-bit apprehensive to go in. With all the left-sided views of protest that are the only times news is really made regarding reservations. I saw many things there that made me proud. Things that the left leaves-out of the picture. Usually, they only show the Native-Americans protesting against something we have done. Or they show of high alcohol/drug rates, living in squalor. What I actually seen was people very happy and proud to be an American. I saw an older duo wearing American Legion baseball caps. I saw those yellow ‘Support the Troops!” magnetic car ribbons for twenty-five cents! I saw the American flag on damn near half the cars there! And I saw one of the natives drive-up with his NRA stickers on his car. Nothing like I imagined I can tell you. Just one of those reasons that I am proud to be an American. Diversity…catch it!
