PHILADELPHIA, PA \ November 11, 2012 / DIVERSE NEWS– The Honorable Judge Pat Dugan emceed this year’s Veterans Day ceremony, paying tribute to all those who served and are still serving America.
Mayor Michael Nutter was on-hand, as he is every year, along with City Controller Alan Butkovitz, Past American Legion Dept. of PA Cdr., Robert Shalala; Legion County Cdr., John Tomosky; Veterans Advisory Commission member, Ernest Landers; Councilmembers, David Oh; Mark Squilla and William Greenlee; Legion 5th District Cdr., Joseph Gunkel and a host of others were also there to show their support and to salute our brave warriors and to offer thanks for a job well-done.
Mayor Nutter gave honor to and prayers were offered to promote peace regardless of religious affiliation for our military veterans.
Mayor Nutter highlighted families of Veterans and to never forget their sacrifice and committment along with a big ‘thank you’ to all our veterans who served our nation.
